The Compton’s Team
Here at Compton’s of Hanbury, we have food hygiene processes in place to ensure customer safety. All suppliers must comply with the FSA’s guidance. This includes providing clear information if any of the following 14 allergens are listed as a product ingredient:
celery, cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if they are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million), tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts)
Pre-packed food must have an ingredients list present on the packaging. Allergens present in the product must be emphasised each time they appear in the ingredients list.
Most ingredients pass through Compton’s in the packages they were received in, and measures are in place to minimise cross contamination. Every care is taken to ensure the highest standard of food hygiene.
